Viola Leona “Dear” Brooks age 82, passed away at Ochsner Canon Hospice surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, June 27, 2012. Beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Winnie Blayton. Loving mother of Rev. Fred (Elizabeth) Luter, Jr., Yolanda L. Keeler, Keith (Patrice) Luter, Sr., Felicia (Ronnel) Butler, also the late Shelby Neveaux, Jr. 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and sister of Evelyn Taplin. Also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
